Activu Moves into New Headquarters in Award-Winning Green Facility to Accommodate Business Growth and Expanded Research and Development

(Digital Journal 2-27-2012) Significantly larger facility will support Activu’s growing market acceptance as a leader in intelligent visualization and collaboration solutions in North America and abroad. Stunning new office space has won awards for architecture, interior design, environmentally sustainable construction and energy efficient design • Underscores Activu’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and to providing a high-quality work environment for its staff
Activu® Corporation, a leading provider of IP-based visualization and collaboration solutions for command and control for defense, homeland security and other mission critical applications, is pleased to announce that it has relocated its headquarters to a new state-of-the-art facility in Rockaway, New Jersey.
Activu’s new facility is located at 301 Round Hill Drive, Rockaway, New Jersey 07866, set within a 200 acre, wooded corporate campus. It comprises 15,000 square feet of glass-walled, open plan office space, a new state-of-the-art Research and Development Center, a 10,000 square feet plus engineering facility and a recreational facility complete with a 30 feet climbing wall. The building is secured by the latest in surveillance and access control technology.
This significantly larger facility will support Activu’s corporate growth and rising market share and acceptance as a leader in intelligent visualization and collaboration solutions, in North America and in major international markets.
In addition to wanting a larger facility, Activu wanted a space that would provide a very high quality work and recreational environment for its staff: aesthetically excellent, environmentally friendly and energy efficient. The new facility meets all of Activu’s requirements and more.
For example, the office building was built using environmentally friendly construction techniques that resulted in 95% less water use during construction. Sand and gravel were hauled-in from local quarries to minimize the carbon footprint from transportation, and alternative materials such as fly ash and silica fume were used in place of concrete for durable, energy efficient, light-weight walls. As a result, the facility also sports the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.
Completed in 2008, the new building was commissioned by a prominent luxury retail design and construction company and designed in collaboration with Pompei A.D., a highly respected New York City-based architecture and design firm. It has outstanding architecture and thoughtful exterior and interior design details that come together to provide an aesthetically impactful, practical, energy efficient workplace, that makes the best use of available space while providing a feeling of openness and light throughout. Its innovative craftsmanship, detailing and custom design work was also acknowledged in a featured report in Architectural Record, a leading architecture and design magazine.
“I am thrilled that we could move to this stunning new building in this beautiful corporate setting, with all of its staff and client focused amenities, such as a full open kitchen and dining terrace.

The dedicated Research and Development Center will help us develop, demonstrate and deliver smarter, more intelligent visualization and collaboration solutions to our growing list of U.S. and international clients. This marks a new and exciting phase in Activu’s corporate trajectory and we look forward to hosting our clients and partners at this new facility in the near future,” said Paul Noble, Activu CEO.
